Hi I'm Kirsten Cannon

I love the beach, rock climbing, and sugar cookies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Nevada, lived in Puerto Rico, and now I am living in Utah. I am an average college student, a Utah State Aggie and I love it! Some of my favorite things to do include rock climbing, playing the violin, baking sugar cookies, playing card games, and camping. I love spending time with my friends and my family. I am the fourth of five children in my family and I love my family with all of my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, and like many people born into the church, I leaned on my parents' testimonies for a long time. As I grew older, however, I gained my own testimony of these things. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one true and complete church. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me, that he was resurrected, and that he lives now. He did this so that I can live again and return to live with my Heavenly Father. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me more than I can imagine. I know that whenever I have questions, I can go to God in prayer. He has answered my questions in many ways, he is constantly aware of each of his children. I am a Mormon because I know these things are true. I cannot deny them. I have had countless experiences where truth has been made known to me through the spirit and I am so thankful for the knowledge I have received through the spirit. Having this knowledge gives me comfort everyday. I know where I came from, I know why I'm here, I know where I am going. The knowledge I have gives me direction. I can know right from wrong and I can strive to choose the right because I know that I want to return to my Heavenly Father. I know that I want to be with my family for eternity. The gospel gives me peace. I can know that even when things are though, my Savior and my Father are there for me. They love me and they want me to succeed. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily thing. Each day I try to do little things that draw me closer to Christ. I try to serve others, keep the commandments, and fulfill my church calling. I also read my scriptures and pray daily, which brings the spirit into my life. This can be difficult at times, sometimes I get distracted and forget to do these things. When this happens, I can rely on the Savior and his Atonement. He knows what I am going through and can help me make things right. With the Savior, I can do anything.
