Hi I'm McKenna

I'm a working student and a small town girl. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a town of 1,500 where the closest Walmart is an hour away, the closest mall is two hours away, and we have no stoplight in my entire county. Growing up I loved to read, ride horses, help my dad manage our acres, bike around town, go on hikes, and listen to musicals. Currently, I am attending university where I serve as an Ambassador for my University. I am currently earning my Bachelor's degree in Health Education. Though I loved growing up in such a close-knit town I have loved being able to meet so many new people! I also work two jobs, in addition to my schooling. I have a full busy life and love being involved!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the Book of Mormon. I have read it multiple times and I cannot deny the feelings I have had when reading it. Just like with anything there are nay-sayers, but you have to try it out yourself! I have had doubts, but I ~know~ that I am a completely different person when I am reading the scriptures on a daily basis. I am happier, more patient, and accomplish more. I know that Jesus Christ in my Savior and I am so grateful for his sacrifice. I am grateful for the restored gospel because of the knowledge that not only will I see my loved ones again, but I am sealed to them for the eternities. There is nothing better than the reassurance that I will be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I believe that the best way to live your faith is in your day to day life. I try to be an example of Jesus Christ everyday. I am so grateful for LDS temples, it truly is a place where we can become closer with our Father in Heaven and I try to go to it as often as I am able to. I honestly think that the world could use a little more religion, no matter what the religion is. While I am so grateful for other faiths, I am grateful to have not just parts of truth but a complete truth. I am also preparing to devote myself solely to the Lord for 18 months of my life to go serve the people of Spain through an LDS mission.
