Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in Michigan and I now live in South Dakota. I'm a husband, dad and a filmmaker and musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a very eclectic person; I like to do a lot of things. I'm passionate about life and my relationship to Christ. I'm a dad to two boys, Joseph (age 8) and Isaac (age 5). I'm married to a beautiful and very spiritual woman named Emily, who is a wonderful mother. She also happens to be an amazing opera singer! I'm a writer, filmmaker, actor and musician. I've appeared in a number of movies and I'm preparing to shoot several new films. I love basketball and skiing. I love teaching my sons about the gospel and helping them develop their own talents. I grew up in a family of four boys and I'm close to all of my brothers and their families.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and have always believed in Jesus Christ, His church and His Gospel. I have an undeniable testimony of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel to the earth when he communed with God and Christ in a grove of trees as a young teenager. Jesus Christ's Atonement is the most important event that has ever taken place in this world. Because of His Atonement, we can all live eternally with God if we follow the teachings of the Gospel, develop a relationship with Christ and repent of our sins. Jesus Christ is our exemplar and our teacher. I believe that families can be united together forever in Christ and that we have a prophet on the earth today who leads us. It's not always easy for me to live the precepts of the Gospel, but when I do, immediate and eternal blessings flow into my life. I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the mysteries of God are unfolded to me when I read it. Further, I believe that by living the teachings in the Book of Mormon, I can become a more perfect disciple of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I very much enjoy being a member of a small community of Mormons in Brookings, South Dakota. Though we are few in number, we are spiritually strong. I have had several different duties in my ward over the past few years. I have been a seminary teacher, an institute teacher, a counselor to a Priesthood leader and have taught the gospel to children in Sunday School. I love teaching the Gospel to others because I find that we all learn together whether teacher or student. I especially love teaching children about the Gospel. Though I don't do it enough, I enjoy sharing my testimony and feelings about the Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm always willing to talk with anyone about my faith and about my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
