Hi I'm Jeff

I am a father of 6 kids! I love my family, the outdoors, sports, music, and I love Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the youngest of 7 kids and grew up in Colorado, Arizona, Maryland, and Utah. Everyone in my family plays and instrument and I picked the trumpet! I played all through grade school and at the University of Utah for 4 years. I have a MSEE degree and design custom integrated circuits for ON Semiconductor in Pocatello, Idaho. Growing up in the outdoors, I love camping and have served as a scout master in the BSA for many years. I also have 6 children and we try to get out and camp as long as we don't have a baby that wants to sit and eat dirt the whole time... ;^) I have also coached soccer for 3 of the kids thus far and love watching them grow and learn. My second child, Kyle, passed away when he was 33 months old from eating E-coli contaminated spinach in 2006. It was a very difficult experience for our family, but one that truly brought us to the Lord, looking for peace. That is what we found... peace. I know that I will get to hold and love and raise my little boy again because of what the Savior has done for me. Families can be together forever through our Heavenly Father Plan!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ because I knelt down and asked the Lord if He was really there, and if He loved me. I asked Him if the Book of Mormon and Bible were true books. I asked Him if Joseph Smith was a true prophet and if He still calls prophets today. I asked Him if Thomas S. Monson is a prophet. He has answered YES to each of these questions and I feel His spirit burn in my soul even as I write these words! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is all true and it brings me joy, peace, hope, and closer to my Savior every day.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my church, because it has allowed me to serve so many of our Father in Heaven's children. This in turn has blessed my life. One of my favorite assignments has been to lead the Ward Choir. I have done this in the every ward I have lived in since I graduated from high school almost 20 years ago! There are few experiences that compare to singing in a good choir, praising and honoring the Lord. I have also served as a scout master for many years, mentoring the youth of our church. I love them more than they will ever know.
