Hi I'm Terrence

I was born in Saudi Arabia, grew up in the Philippines and currently serving at Alaska Anchorage Mission.

About Me

I went to college for 2 years before my full-time service as a missionary for the church in Alaska. I have two sisters and my mom raised all of us. My parents were separated since i was 3 years old. I never grew up with a father but my mom did everything that she can to raised us with faith in God and respect for everyone. The gospel of Jesus Christ healed the scars of my past and give me a brightness of hope for a better life. It helps me to understand that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and He just want us to be happy and successful. Having the many blessing of the restored gospel motivated me to have the courage to leave my family for 2 years and help the people in Alaska to come closer to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert to the church. My ancestors were strong member of the Catholic Church. My uncle introduced the missionaries to our family. They invited us to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. They told us that this book testifies of Christ and it will helps us to understand the message of the bible. One of the great thing that touched my mother's heart is the possibility of family relationship even after this life. Family is very important for every Filipino. We did what the missionaries asked us to do as a family. We received a witness from the Spirit that the Book of Mormon is true after putting an effort of reading and praying about it. I know that Heavenly Father can answer any questions because He is the source of all truth. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn about the gospel as i study the Book of Mormon and the Bible. The peace and happiness that the gospel can bring in our life are amazing. I know that i found my path to happiness and i have learned that Heavenly Father has a plan for us. Center to that plan is the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ that provides healing, cleansing and grace.

How I live my faith

I'm a full-time missionary serving in Alaska. We are called to serve and help people in the community and provide a helping hand. The most exciting part of my mission is helping people to come closer to Christ. Everyday is a wonderful opportunity for me to live the gospel. I am not perfect but i'm trying my best to make an effort to be better everyday. Its my personal commitment and choice to follow the Savior. I know His path is much easier to conquer the demands of this mortal life. Prayer, reading my scripture and attending Sunday service helps me to remember our Savior Jesus Christ and learn of Him and follow His footsteps.
