Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in seven states. I'm an artist, writer, and family member. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have three siblings, a sister and two brothers. I like to consider myself an artist of many mediums. I draw, crochet, knit, paint, and make jewelry. I have always liked to make something with my hands. I also like to write and hope that one day I will be published. I graduated from college in 2012 in English. I also enjoy singing, although I have never been trained. I like to sing in choir in church when I am able. I enjoy spending time with my family. They are the best part of me. When we are together I know that we can do anything. We love to tap family trips whenever possible. Disney parks have been our favorite lately, but we do like to visit new places. I love seeing different parts of the country and well as other parts of the world with them. So far we have gone to the Bahamas but I know we would all love to see more together. No one in my family is perfect, including me, but we love each other no matter our differences.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I choose to be. This is who I am. I don't know what my life would be without the gospel in my life. I have decided to stay a member because this makes sense to me. Heavenly Father loves us all and wishes for us to have an opportunity for happiness. We are here on this earth to show that we can be all that He wants us to be. We aren't perfect but that is what the Atonement of Jesus Christ is for.Through His sacrifice we can return to our Heavenly Father. The Prophet, and prophets of the past, serve Him. They know what He wants of us and how we can be protected from the world around us. The Book of Mormon is true scripture. It gives a fullness of the gospel that was on the earth in Jesus's time. I know that this is true. This gospel is true, and I'm happy to say that no one can change that. It's here and will stay forever. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been raised as a Mormon so I have participated in a lot of different aspects of my religion. I have taught and spoken in meetings and visited members. Recently, I have been teaching to new members and those who are interested in this church on Sundays. Soon I will be teaching the gospel to the people of Hong Kong as a missionary. It is something that I believe that I must do. I am excited to teach in Mandarin Chinese.
