Hi I'm Zachary Call

Oregonian for life. Lover of the outdoors. Lacrosse is my sport. Handyman at heart, and most of all, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm recently a High School Graduate, Soon to be a Missionary serving the people of the Vina Del Mar, Chile. In High School I played in my schools lacrosse team, I played Goalie and loved it. I broke the normal sports guy stereotype and also was on the varsity chess team, loving a good mental challenge. I have always loved working with my hands and being able to build things, so i focused on woods and engineering classes and excelled. I could make just about anything. I have helped build a house, designed and built signs for companies and done custom laserering and engraving for people. I love taking something that looks like nothing and turning it into something beautiful. I am always up for a challenge and love to spend my time outdoors and with my friends having a good time. I love music and the impact it has on people and how we all respond to it. I am always trying to make a difference in peoples lives. Putting a smile on someones face is my favorite thing to do, even if it means embarrassing myself to do that. I love being a leader and being able to help people around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the blessing and comfort I get from the truths this Gospel teaches us. I have been a member my whole life, but recently i have made the choice to serve a mission and i had to make sure i knew this church was true, and so i diligently read the scriptures and prayed that i would know this Gospel was the true one, and I can say that it is the true church. Even though being a Mormon isnt always easy, its beyond worth it. My life would be completely different if i didnt have this church in my life. I have been able to participate and partake in the blessing of this church. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers, and that if we are willing to work, then we will be blessed to always have a way to overcome our trials. We are all on a journey in life, but i know that all of our journeys lead back to heaven and our Father in Heaven who loves and cares for us. I am thankful fro Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for all of us, and that he was strong enough to endure the pain and suffering that we will always have someone who understand what we are going through and a way to get back to Heavenly Father and have Eternal Life. Because I cant deny how I feel when I talk about these things and because the blessing and guidance that comes from living this gospel, That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the teachings of the Gospel. I always strive to better myself and love those around me. I go to church every Sunday to feel of the Spirit and learn and grow my testimony of this gospel. I have had the opportunity to serve as a Ward Missionary, being able to work along side the full time missionaries in the ward. This has helped me prepare to serve my mission in Chile. A big part if how I live my faith is simply by having faith, because without faith none of it works. And with faith comes action of reading my scriptures, praying to our Heavenly father, going to church, serving others, and always trying to be like Jesus Christ.
