Hi I'm Billie

I'm a missionary in England, a fan of the imagination and enjoy things which bring a sparkle to my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love adventures in the countryside and autumn is the best time of year! I've been to uni and studied English and film, making books and movies a great pastime when I'm free. I love to bake, go swimming and getting creative with glue and glitter make me smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon in 2013 at the age of 23 after having the courage to go on my own to a church meeting. It was the best decision I've made! Since joining the church my life has changed for the better and I have received many blessings from choosing to put Christ at the centre of my life. The church of Jesus Christ has brought nothing but comfort and happiness and it's something I wish everyone could experience. Each day I see how much God and Christ continue to do for me and others as we go about our daily lives. To some, being a Mormon might seem like all work and no play but that is far from the truth. This church, our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ continue to put a smile on my face despite what is happening around me because the truth, comfort, blessings and fellowship that are offered.

How I live my faith

I'm about to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the England Leeds Mission for 18 months, where I will share with others the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. This opportunity will allow me to express why I love the gospel so much and help others to find, build and strengthen their own faith in their Heavenly Father and their Saviour, Jesus Christ. Day to day I live my faith by trying to follow the commandments which the Lord has given us.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Billie
When you read the scriptures, you are reading truth. The people who are speaking did live and their words are so important to us today. As you continue to read and ponder what the scriptures are saying you will draw closer to God and Christ as you learn about their will for us here on earth. Because of this knowledge of who God and Jesus Christ are to you, you open your heart to receiving the promised blessings that the scriptures speak of and those blessings are endless.
