Hi I'm Preston

I'm 19 years old, a collegiate softball pitcher, outdoors enthusiast, future Family Nurse Practitioner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old & have 2 younger brothers. I was born, raised, and still live in North Carolina. I play fast pitch softball at NCAA Division 2 Catawba College. I love being outside, traveling, exploring, and trying new things. I plan on getting my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and hope to eventually become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. Living in the Southern United States in a beach town, temptations are everywhere to break the standards. But I choose not too because I want to return to Him. I know with every fiber in my being that this gospel is true. If we follow the commandments and His example, we can return to him. I know the Plan of Salvation to be real. One of my cousins died before I even got a chance to meet him, but I know that I will be able to meet him one day. I also know that temptation is real. It is there to challenge us. But if we rely on Christ and our Father in Heaven, we can grow and overcome it. I wouldn't trade this gospel for anything. I love it with my entire heart, mind, and soul.

How I live my faith

I live the standards. I'm the only member of the Church on my softball team, as well as the only member at Catawba College. I study the scriptures and pray everyday. I continue to follow the Word of Wisdom every single day.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Preston
You can know that Mormonism is true by getting by yourself and sincerely praying about it, just as Joseph Smith did in the Sacred Grove. You can study the scriptures, ask members question's, speak to the missionaries. But the most important thing you can do to verify it for yourself is to go somewhere quiet and peaceful, and sincerely pray about it to your Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
