Hi I'm Alyx

I was raised in Texas. I am a Mormon and am proud to belong to such a great church

About Me

I currently am attending college. It is my freshman year and I look forward to studying in the field of nursing. I love swimming, volleyball, basketball, and pretty much just about any other sport. I enjoy spending time with my family. Nothing compares to a good night just chilling with family. Whether it be watching a movie, playing a game or sport, or just straight up talking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the Mormon church. Both of my parents are faithful members, and having them in my life has been the greatest blessing. Growing up I was able to watch through their example the blessing of being a member of this church. Not to say our lives where not trial less but knowing that no matter how difficult things got I always knew with the help of my Heavenly Father we would make it through, strengthened and more knowledgeable.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a service co-chair for my ward. What this means is I look for ways that our ward to contribute to the community. More than just big service projects me and my fellow co-chair look for ways to serve the members as well. Every Friday we get together make treats and deliver them to members and just check in to see how they are doing. We love hearing how school and family is going for those people. It's a great way to make new friends and get out of my comfort zone. Secondly in regards to helping the community last semester I planned a huge activity for our ward. I called it Halloween for Hunger. Instead of tricker treating for candy on Halloween a bunch of students got together and tricker treated for non perishable food items to donate to the the local food bank. We gathered about 500 pounds of food. The activity was a success and it was fun to get together with friends and serve. I absolutely love my ward and being able to help out!
