Hi I'm Allison

I'm a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a wife, a mother, a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful, fun, handsome loving husband. We have 5 children, that are the joy of our lives. I love being a mother! We can have so much fun teasing each other and being completely crazy, this always helps one of us that is having a bad day. I love to bake, scrapbook, run, and work on all kinds a office type projects. Soccer consumes at least a quarter of our life, and we love it!! I have had a professional career in administrative, and have helped start up a business with my husband. Times of course have their ups and downs, but I LOVE LIFE!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith. My mother was a convert as a teenager, and my father went back a few generations. My entire life I attended Sunday meetings. Rarely did I miss. As a teenager, I loved the social part. My youth leaders were so amazing, and fun, and I loved being with them and the other girls my age. I continued to attend church and activities through college, but wasn't truly converted until after marriage. I read the Book of Mormon with for the first time with real intent and with prayer to know of its truth. I had a very emotional month or so, because I couldn't believe I had attended church and all of the meetings for so many years, and hadn't felt what I now knew and felt. My testimony is a work in progress that I have to work on daily. When I feel that it isn't growing, that is when I stop and re-assess what I have going on in my life, my priorities, and what distractions I need to eliminate to come back into focus. Nothing feels better and lifts my burdens more than feeling the Spirit of Christ, His love and His Atonement for me.

How I live my faith

I love serving others. If I am having a down day, I know that it can be turned around if I find a way to put a smile on another's face. I have spent a few years serving the children of His church, a few serving the women of His church and currently serving and teaching the youth (12-18) young women. Really I know they are they ones teaching me! I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the hope and peace that it gives to me. I enjoy spending time learning about Christ in the scriptures. As a family we try to pray several times a day. The kids enjoy our family prayers the most just before bed. This is a great time that we can come together and check in with each other as well as our Father in Heaven to give thanks for the day before going to bed.
