Hi I'm Rachelle

I grew up in the military and have traveled all over the world. I am a stay-at-home mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE to travel. I love meeting new people and seeing new cultures. I have four kids and we have taken them traveling with us (some people call us crazy but we love it!) I lived in Germany as a kid (I'm an Army brat) and I think traveling all over Europe gave me the travel bug. I love organizing photos through scrapbooking and shutterfly books and I am a fairly faithful blogger. I try, anyway. :) I love planning parties and doing fun stuff with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. Choosing the right makes me happy. Knowing where I came from and where I will be going after I die makes me happy. Serving others makes me happy. Being served by others makes me happy, too. :) Going to the temple brings me happiness and peace. Praying brings me happiness and peace. I am a Mormon because the LDS church teaches that families can be forever. By marrying my husband in the temple, I can be with him and our children forever. Nothing brings me more peace and happiness than this knowledge. I am a Mormon because Mormons are awesome. :) I LOVE the friends I have made through the church. I love the fun activities we have - from dances, to parties, to dinners and picnics, to youth activities, to service projects. It's the best! I love that I know so many of my neighbors. I love seeing people at church and catching up with them. I would be a Mormon for this reason only. I am a Mormon because it gives direction in my life. I have avoided so many problems and mistakes because of the teachings of this church. I feel...free. I feel light and happy and hopeful. When I have questions, I can pray and receive answers. When I am sorrowful, I can (and am) comforted. I never feel "alone" because I feel the presence of God in my life daily. I am a Mormon because it makes me a better person. I am more selfless. I am more thoughtful. I am more charitable. I am kinder, more gentle. I have a goal and a purpose. I have an idea of who I want to be and I know God is helping me become that person. I am a better wife, mother and friend because of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a Mormon because I KNOW this church is true. I know it. I have felt it many times and in many different places. Dedicating my life to it is no sacrifice. It is a privilege and a blessing. I would do anything for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Him and I am so grateful I can be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. Right now I am working with the children of the church in the Primary as a teacher. I love preparing lessons and watching the kids learn and grow. I love serving others and I try to send letters and meals to those who may be feeling down. I am serving my family. I try to do what Jesus would do if He were here. I love the feeling I get when I brighten someone's day or answer a prayer. I do my best to be His hands on earth and to continually improve myself. I hope I can be a help and a guide to others.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Rachelle
We believe that families can be forever. When I first held my newborn daughter in my arms I felt so grateful that I knew I could be her mother forever. When I look into my husbands eyes and hug my children, I thank our Father in Heaven for temples and for the knowledge I have that when we die we will be together again. Show more Show less
