Hi I'm Monica

I grew up in Utah. I am a wife and mother of 5. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, USA. I met my husband in Southern Utah while attending College, and now almost 15 years later, we are the parents of 5 children! I love to read, probably too much. I love to run, for fun and for races. I ran my first half marathon in 2013 and through that experience learned so much about hard work and life. I love cooking and eating good food. I love taking pictures and putting them into books. I love learning about people. My favorite thing is to stay at home with my family and play games, dance, and watch movies. My greatest joy are my 5 beautiful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an in-active home. I would go to church with my grandparents and loved it. We had a bookshelf with a Book of Mormon on it and I would take it down, even before I could read, and just hold it. I felt a power in that book, I didn't know why but I knew it was special. At the age of 12 a friend invited me to church with her, I accepted and her and her family took me under their wings for the next 6 years. Through them, I saw great examples and the difference the gospel brings into our lives. At age 14 I prayed to have a testimony all my own, to know if this church and the Book of Mormon were true, the Holy Ghost testified to me they were. I knew it then, and I know it today. My Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ have been so good to me, and I love Them so much.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to work with the small children ages 3-11 in my church. I get to teach them about the gospel and about Jesus Christ and how much He loves them. Children feel the spirit, they have strong testimonies. We are taught, "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass", I feel that is how I live my faith. It is those small things we do daily that bring about great things. I pray and talk with my Heavenly Father many times through out the day, I study His words, I serve these children in my church and my own children, I try to do what Jesus Christ would have me do and love all His children on this Earth. As I do these things, I am so happy, I feel close to my Heavenly Father and feel His love for me.
