Hi I'm Ashley Lundell

I'm a student at Utah State. I run to eat. I'm a daddy's girl. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the second of five. Ever since I was little I always tried to keep up with my brothers. Whether that was a makeshift game of football in the street or seeing who could hold their breathe the longest I always tried to outdo them. Was I ever really successful haha not at all but they always were the ones to tell me to keep trying. I come from the best family a girl could have, right in the heart of Colorado. Sunday baking, late night bonfires, boating trips, and food make me happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have done exactly what the Book of Mormon and the Bible ask us to do, ask God. As a missionary we get to invite A LOT of people to learn about the message of the restoration, but it isn't until we individually take the message and apply it to our own lives...until we use our agency to ASK if it is true. The gospel is about us personally and the sacrifice our savior made for every single one of His brothers and sisters (us). If we are not open to this Gospel and are not willing to act we can't expect to find answers. I am a member because The Gospel of Jesus Christ has enabled me to be open to life's trials and to have faith that "everything is gonna' be alright" as I obey the commandments of our Heavenly Father and follow the living Prophet's guidance. I am a member because the gospel helps me to "endure happily" throughout life's hardest moments as I remember who I am, why I am here and more importantly where I am going.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as I study the scriptures and apply their experiences to my life. I am a strong believer that every time we open the Book of Mormon there is something we need to learn from it, something that God is trying to remind us of. You can never read the scriptures too many times. I have a LOVE for knowledge and I think the best way we can serve the Lord is to take the time to know HIM, and then emulate him. The savior led by example and out of love. As I take the time to personally pray, read my scriptures, attend the temple, and participate in the sacrament every week I find that not only am I happier but I am more aware of the ways I can help others. My eyes are spiritually opened and I become aware of the lessons I need to learn and I have a lot more patience for them. Growth starts small and takes constant effort but effort leads to answers and success and happiness and all things good.
