Hi I'm Deanna

I grew up in Southern California. I currently attend Brigham Young University in Provo. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and was blessed to be born into a wonderful family. Each member of my family is an example to me, and motivates me to be a better individual. I am currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and hope to obtain a BS degree in Biochemistry.I love learning, and am a constant deep thinker. I enjoy stretching my mind and learning new concepts. I love creating things, and capturing the beauty of God's creations through art. I love math and science and learning about all the fascinating things our Father has created. I love getting to know people, and hearing about the amazing experiences they have had in their lives. I cannot wait for the joyous and sacred responsibility that I will one day have to be a mother. I look up to my parents so much for all the great things they have done for me in my life. I have so many great role models of righteous people I look up to in my life. The Savior is my perfect role model and motivator to try my hardest each day to be the best I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, and from a young age taught the gospel principles, I know for myself that the church is true. As I attend my church meeting and reflect on the blessings my Heavenly Father has given me, I feel the spirit testifying of the gospel's truthfulness. I feel the peace and joy that the knowledge of our Savior brings. I know that Jesus Christ is my older brother and that he loves each of us. I know that he lives, and that through his Atonement we all can return to live with our Heavenly Father if we repent and commit ourselves to follow Christ' example. I can feel Heavenly Father's love each and every day as I learn about the beautiful individuals He has placed in my life. I see the Lord's hand in each thing I do, and know that He has a plan for me here on this earth at this time. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I know the happiness I feel when I live the gospel. Because I know the gospel, I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

Growing up in Southern California, I was blessed to live in a beautiful area with so many people of all different backgrounds. I learned how important it is to view each of Heavenly Father's children through Christ's eyes. As I did, I realized how beautiful each and every one of us is. Attending high school in California I had to fight the adversary every day. Although I knew that so many degrading things were going on around me, I knew what Heavenly Father wanted me to do as one of His daughters. I knew I needed to choose the right and stand out as an example of the believers. I love my calling and everything about the Church. I live my faith each and every day by looking at others with the knowledge that we are all Heavenly Father's children. I live my faith by recognizing others for the potential they have, and treating them as our Savior does. I know that as I try my hardest to do this, I will be able to continue to be converted to this wonderful gospel. I live my faith by knowing that I am a daughter of a wonderful Creator, and treating those around me as sons and daughters of our Loving Heavenly Father.
