Hi I'm Steven

I'm an Eagle Scout, Black Belt, swordsman, physics major, and future Marine Corps pilot. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as the second eldest of eight children, six sisters and a younger brother just four weeks shy of being fourteen years younger than me. With my education being switched from public to home at the end of sixth grade, much of my time was spent taking care of my younger siblings and developing a skill most young men lack: cooking. When I wasn't involved in family affairs, I enjoyed reading fantasy novels, role-playing games, and polishing my melee combat capabilities! After graduating from my community college, finishing all transferable credits for a physics degree, and trying to leave my family on stable footing, I am leaving to serve a mission in Idaho at the end of April 2014!

Why I am a Mormon

Two things. My testimony of the Book of Mormon and the power of the Atonement. My family joined the church right before I started kindergarten and has undergone periodical stages of being active as well as being inactive. By understanding that this world is a preparatory step and that we have a loving Savior who endured hell on earth for us, I've been able to push myself to overcome my own shortcomings and strive to my limits. The Book of Mormon emphasizes the love Jesus has for every person, and helps me better understand this life from an eternal perspective.

How I live my faith

After moving from Allen to Prosper, I went from teaching Gospel Essentials to trying to get six younger siblings to services on time every week.
