Hi I'm Nathan Andrews

I was born and raised in Colorado. I attended Columbine High School. I love sports and music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student majoring in Biochemistry with an emphasis in Genetics. My goal is to do research on genetic defects and disorders that cause things like Down Syndrome. I love working with kids who have special needs and have gone to multiple camps where I was a volunteer to help these kids. One thing I love doing is being an aid in special needs sports. For years I helped on the Unified Basketball team for my High School and did other programs helping with special needs baseball. I also really enjoy playing sports on my own. I've played basketball and baseball my whole life, but I basically love doing anything active, throwing a frisbee around, playing football with buds, anything. Music is also a big part of my life as I play guitar and love going to concerts. Even though I'm not nearly as talented in music, I still love listening to and really getting into songs. I love the different things I have in my life and truly enjoy everything I am blessed to be able to do.

Why I am a Mormon

This church and Gospel mean the world to me. I was born into the church but have made my own decision to continue to follow its teachings and beliefs. I have gone from having a Testimony that mostly relied on my parents to having one of my own. I have come to truly know that this church is true and so are its teachings. The difference in my life from when I was fully living the Gospel and when I was going through the motions and taking it easy is night and day. The blessings and happiness I feel when I live the teachings of the Gospel are so fantastic that I would not trade the church or Gospel for anything. I know my Savior loves me and I feel that when I'm following his teachings. I am a Mormon because it brings me that love and joy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith and my religion as closely as possible everyday. Granted everyone makes mistakes an I'm no different, but I do try hard to stick to my beliefs and make that show in my decisions and actions. In my ward in the church I help organize teachers for meetings on Sundays as well as helping make sure our group of guys is taken care of and feeling great. I also help to teach a group of young women and try to do whatever I can to make them happy and brighten their days. As I try to do this my faith in the church grows because I can see that when I am doing the things I know to be right and true, these duties that I have become easier and more fulfilling.
