Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in California. I'm a singer, dancer, performer. I love my family and friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a singer, dancer and performer. I love hanging out and going to downtown LA on the weekends with my friends. Bowling, line dancing, and watching movies are more of my hobbies. I went to college for a semester in Utah at the LDS Business College.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never found peace and completeness until I began to live this gospel. I grew up in the church but not until I left home for college did I find myself, and find out what I truly believe in. Everyone has their hardships in life and when I went through a hard time, I turned to the Lord. No one can lighten the burden of life like Christ can. He sacrificed himself so that we can be forgiven for our sins and live together forever with Him. God is our loving Heavenly Father and through living this gospel, I have been able to feel that unconditional and undeniable love that he has for me. He loves each of his children so much and so individually. We can all find true happiness, peace, completeness, and love, by living this gospel and following the teachings of Christ. We just have to allow ourselves to come to Christ. We can start by prayer. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I know that they love me and each of us. Through and by that love am I forgiven. Through and by that love will I be saved.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my church. I am a ward missionary and so I visit and serve those members and anyone who needs help with anything. I am constantly striving to become a better community member and a better person by living this gospel and following the teachings we find in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I have dedicated myself to serve a full time mission. I am called to serve in the Argentina, Rosario mission and will be there from March 2014-September 2015.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jessica
The atonement is the sacrifice Jesus Christ took upon himself. When he was in the Garden of Gethsemane, he suffered for us. He took upon himself the sins of the world. He felt every emotion: heartache, depression, hopelessness. Because he did this, and suffered for our sins, we can be forgiven of our sins. He died so that when we die, we can come back to Him. The Atonement is the ultimate gift we have been given from our loving Heavenly Father. As long as we come unto Christ and pray and repent (ask for forgiveness) for our sins, we are able to be with him and our family for eternity in happiness. Show more Show less
