Hi I'm Kylie

I'm from Texas. I'm on a Mission in California and it's amazing! I have a sister with Cerebral Palsy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a sophomore at Brigham Young University Provo. I hope one day to become a pediatric physical therapist. I got interested in this profession because I have an older sister with cerebral palsy and autism. I've been going to her physical therapy appointments since I was born, and I would love the opportunity to help other children achieve physically. I love to read and compete academically, and I love family history. I'm currently serving in the California Rancho Cucamonga Mission and it is the best experience of my life. If you ever need any help remember the saying "Ask the missionaries, they can help you!" I love to serve in any way I can. I love my family more than anything else, and I love to talk to people about the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have been a member of this church my entire life, I still had a time where I had to figure out if I truly believed it. So, I prayed with real intent having faith that I would receive an answer, and I read the Book of Mormon. It is amazing how the Book of Mormon can still give me answers even though it was written so long ago. I know that the Book of Mormon was written for our generation and for us to learn by. I know that family can be forever. I know that we can receive answers to our prayer and that God has a prophet on this earth to give us guidance and be His mouthpiece. I know that Christ died for my sins and that He understands everything I am going through and is always with me. We are never alone, and I am so grateful that I have the knowledge and understanding to be able to turn to my Heavenly Father in any situation. His gospel is amazing, and I cannot imagine my life without it. If you have any questions about it, ask the missionaries because they can help you.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life, and I cannot imagine my life without the church. I am about to leave my home for a year and a half to serve and teach in California, and I cannot wait to be able to talk to people about God's love for all of us. I also work with Family History in the church. Family is a huge focus of Mormon culture and I try to help others find their ancestry and learn more about where they came from. I believe that having this knowledge is important and that we should all have an understanding of where we come from.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormons believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn about the Gospel and about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Therefore, missionaries go around and tell people all about it. Missionaries will most likely start out by telling you about God and your personal relationship with Him, then will move on to other topics. While missionaries will teach you, they will not try to force their beliefs upon you. It is up to you whether you would like to listen and learn. Show more Show less
