Hi I'm Beth Encizo

I'm from Sanger, Texas. I attend BYU. I love music and my friends and I'm currently a missionary. Im a Mormon.

About Me

My mom and I joined the church when I was seven. I now have five younger siblings and soon I'll have my first niece. I grew up and graduated high school in small town Sanger, Texas. I went on to attend three semester at Brigham Young University as an exercise science major. I have plans to hopefully one day work as a PA specialized in orthopedics. I loved every minute of my time at college, even though it was quite challenging at times. I love learning about the world and how it works.I look forward to returning to school in a year and a half. I'm almost always listening to music and I love watching a good movie. Right now I am days away from beginning a new chapter in my life as missionary serving in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission. I'm not a fan of heat or humidity, but luckily I'm from Texas so it's at least nothing unusual for me. I can't wait to begin serving the Lord and I know it's what I'm meant to be doing.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church at an early age, but I knew even then it was where I belonged. As a youth I began to question the church a little more and I greatly searched for answers. I searched the scriptures and I prayed to know if the Church was indeed true. I gained my own testimony that it is true. I am a Mormon because I want to be and I know that if I follow the commandments and do what my Heavenly Father asks of me, then my life will be far happier. Life isn't easy no matter what, but I find that even through the hard times, the hope I find in the gospel will get me through anything and everything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the simple things. I read the scriptures, say my prayers and try everyday to reach out to those around me. I always find greater joy when I'm serving others. This is one of the reasons why I am so excited to serve a mission. Everyday we face trials and adversity and we all make mistakes. I live my faith by following the example Christ has set for me and when I fall off the horse I brush myself off and get back on again. I find it is easier when I stay away from the things that might keep me down. I don't partake of drugs or alcohol and I do my best to avoid of situation where the spirit cannot reside. I do this because I know that it is the Lord's spirit that comforts me, helps me know the truth of all things and helps me continue to progress in this life.
