Hi I'm Erik Donohoo

I write music and play guitar. I am a proud father and husband. I am a software developer. I'm a mormon

About Me

I am a part-time student at BYU finishing my degree in Computer Science. I have always loved the outdoor and go on camping trips every year with my wife's family, usually in southern Utah. I served an LDS mission in South Africa and had a great time meeting and loving the people down there as well as being able to do some other cool things like go on a real African safari! I recently became a father to an awesome little boy. My wife and I love having fun and being together. I'm an avid Nintendo fan and have played nearly every Zelda game known to man.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know exactly what to expect in my life. I know that as I live a certain way, I receive certain blessings and promises from the Lord. I know that Jesus Christ lives today and leads and guides His restored Church. Having served a mission for the Church, I have seen miracles and strengthened my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I know that my family can live together forever as long as we stay true to the promises we have made to each other and the Lord. Not every day is easy, but I can see the end from the beginning and have a set path that leads to happiness that I can follow.

How I live my faith

I try my best each day to just be a good person. I serve as the activity planner in my Elder's Quorum. My wife and I read our scriptures regularly and have family prayer each night. We attend church every Sunday. Sometimes that can be hard with a small baby, but we do our best.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Erik Donohoo
We believe that God is knowable and is our literal Father. We were created in His image, meaning that we look like Him and He looks like us. He is a glorified resurrected being who we can one day be like ourselves as we follow the plan He has for us. Show more Show less
