Hi I'm Colten

I grew up in a little farm town called Scott City in western Kansas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being in the great outdoors. I have always loved being outside and some of my hobbies include hunting, riding horses, and playing sports. I recieved a scholarship to play football at a local college. I have decided now to serve a mission. So I will postpone my education and football for two years to serve the Lord and his people. I have been called to California and I am very excited to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life. I am very grateful that I have received this blessing. Even though I have been a member all of my life, there comes a point when you have to know for yourself. I can testify that I do indeed know that the gospel is true and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and along with the Bible we can gain a further knowledge of the past present and future. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and I know that without him and what he did that we would not have the Book of Mormon. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and he is the sole reason that we have the oppurtunity to return back into Jesus's and God's presence. I know that families can be together forever. I know that we have a true prophet on the Earth today, in Thomas S. Monson. I know that he gives us counsel to help us be the best people that we can be, and that if we listen to him and his teachings, the Book of Mormon, and the Bible that we can reach our ultimate goal in living with our families with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

I enjoy providing service to the community and especially members of our church. I have helped people move in and out of our area many times. I am also an Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout project I had to organize the project and see that it went through. My Eagle Scout project consisted of planting a food plot for local animals to eat and renovate a blind so that disabled people may observe wildlife in their natural state.
