Hi I'm Vichiny

Lover of family, photography, all cultures and this beautiful world. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Wisconsin and raised in Holland, Michigan. Aka the mitten State! I love traveling to new places, meeting new people, going to the beach, making memories with my family and being outdoors with mother nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed with goodly parents who truly love the Lord. My parents were converts to the church and I was taught and raised into the gospel. Growing up I wanted to know this truth on my own. I had to really rely on my faith and put my trust in the Lord. I now have a burning testimony of my own, of the truthfulness of this remarkable gospel of Jesus Christ. I have gained this testimony through small actions and experiences. In Alma 37:6 it says, "...but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass..." Small things such as attending church, serving my brothers and sisters, sharing my testimony, studying the scriptures and seeking the Lord through personal prayer, help me grow daily. I've taken the time to read The book of Mormon and have prayed to know of its truthfulness. I have felt through prayer and the spirit that this church is undeniably true. I have felt the spirit confirm this to me on many occasions. Not every time in some big marvelous way. I feel this confirmation in the hymns we sing in church, in the testimonies we bear of Christ and in the simple principles we are taught. The gospel brings peace to my life and true happiness. It gives me hope that I can be with my family for eternity. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives! I know that only through Christ, we can be made perfect. The Book of Mormon bears truth of His eternal plan. The gospel blesses our lives and it is here for us!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving every day to become more like Christ and my Father in Heaven. I strive to have that light of Christ constantly burning within me. I want more than anything for people to see it! In Matthew 5:16 it says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." As the standards of the world plummet, the church's standards remain the same. The teachings of the church gives me strength to know that I can be a reflection of Christ by the way I act, love, and serve those around me.
