Hi I'm Maryanne Funaki

I'm from Sydney Australia and I am about to leave on my Mission in 4 days and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I come from a big family of 8 brothers and sisters with 6 sisters. I like taking photos of nature, people and our surroundings. I like to plan events it helps to bring out my creative side especially when i get to serve others who help me strengthen my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up a Mormon, and from my early youth days my testimony of the gospel began to flourish at an early stage. I knew who I was, where I was going and what i needed to do to get there. Yes, there were rocky roads that I had to take, but to know that there was always a way back always helped me make the decisions that I need to make to stay on the straight and narrow path. I am grateful for my saviour and know that he is always mindful of me when I need him even when i think that he is not there. I love being a Mormon because each new day, week, month and year if we fall short I know that we can always start again. As long as we give our all and try our best the Lord will make up the rest. This is my testimony in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I have served as the Stake Relief Society Sectretary and it has been the best calling for me so far. To serve, love and care for the sisters in my area just as Christ would have done if he was here on earth. I love to plan events for activity's and to see people strengthen their testimonies from attending these activities. This year in our Stake Macarthur Stake we held a YSA Ball and it was so Awessome. To see the YSA turn up all dressed up and having a good time at the right place at the right time was worth the 2days of no sleep. I love the Gospel and the opportunity we have to grow not only spiritually but also physically as we find ways to utilise our talents by serving in the church.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Maryanne Funaki
The Great things about being a Mormon is that you wont survive if you don't know for yourself. Yes you can come to church attend the meetings but eventually we will need to find out for yourself on whether it is true or not. And by simply getting on your knees and asking the Lord you too can know for yourself. Show more Show less
