Hi I'm Jon

I'm a student at Brigham Young University and run cross country and track there. I enjoy being outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying International Relations at BYU with hopes of working in politics and changing the world. I am from Indiana and have run through cornfields and dreamed of climbing water towers. I love being outside in the mountains hiking or skiing dependent on the season.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I like being happy. I've learned that when the gospel is a major component in my life, I am the happiest. Growing up I have had parents who have been great examples to me and have taught me almost everything I know about the gospel. That has ultimately been the greatest blessings of my life and I'm trying to improve upon my knowledge everyday. The Book of Mormon is full of the Spirit of God and when I read it I understand that this church is the way back to Heavenly Father. Seriously, if you're confused on anything about life, read it and pray about your struggles and you'll be enlightened far beyond what you can imagine. Every day I feel his Spirit and it is the happiest feeling in the world. That is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to be considerate of people's feelings and look for opportunities to serve whenever I can. I strive to treat others as Jesus Christ would and sometimes it works out great but other times I realize that I am not perfect. Reading my scriptures and writing in my journal are two very important things to me as I am working on becoming the best person I can be and furthermore trying to pray with a sincere heart to Heavenly Father to help with things that I can't necessarily do on my own. I'm definitely not a perfect person but if I can keep Jesus in mind as I go about my day I feel like I will be doing pretty good.
