Hi I'm Katie

I am studying laboratory medicine. I love to laugh and be adventurous. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time outdoors in the summer hiking, tossing a Frisbee, running, swimming in the pool or lake. During the winter, though, I try to avoid the snow as much as possible; I am a desert girl at heart. I am almost graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science. I want to work in a hospital lab for a few years before going to school to become a Physician Assistant (PA). I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain for a summer and loved perfecting my Spanish and experiencing European life and culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a MEMBER of the Church because it's how I was raised, but I AM A MORMON because this is how I want to live my life. This gospel is my anchor and my driving force. Nothing brings me more comfort than knowing I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, is cheering for my successes, and is right there to help me stand back up when I fall. As I come to know Jesus Christ and work to become like him, I become the person I want to be and the person He knows I can be. I am strongest and happiest when I am worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost. I know there is nothing outside of the gospel of Jesus Christ that will ever make me happier.

How I live my faith

I am the oldest child in my family, so I try to live my life in a way my siblings can look up to. I serve in my singles' stake with the religious institute program every week. I have been involved in organizing the weekly Home Evening events for the past few years. I try to serve others when I get the chance. Right now, the people closest to me are my roommates, so I try to be aware of their needs and see them the way Christ sees them. This teaches me love them more unconditionally and helps me to be more like my Savior.
