Hi I'm Genaveeve Shupe

I grew up in Utah, USA. I just received my mission call. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon. I grew up and live in Utah. I am the oldest of three children. My family wasn't LDS until I was about three years old. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I have received my mission call to Concepcion, Chile. I am leaving in June 2014. I am attending Weber State University. I love animals, and am dreaming of becoming a veterinarian before I am thirty years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was eight years old. I knew it was my choice. I remember just thinking "Well, if I want to be happy, I should get baptized." Now that I am almost nineteen years old, I have had many conversion stories for myself. I remember realizing for the first time that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I also remember realizing why the Plan of Salvation makes sense and how important it is.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. After sacrament meeting, I teach primary; more specifically, six-year-olds. This class happens to be my sister's class. I am reading the Book of Mormon for the second time, all the way through.
