Hi I'm Becca Walton

I live in beautiful Denver, Colorado. I love Cross Country, track and I am a part of many choirs and love singing!

About Me

I love the world around me! I enjoy reading, playing piano, and running. Believe it or not, school doesn't bother me too much. I have a very cute malti-poo named Daisy. I have four awesome siblings. My oldest sister is currently on a mission and my brothers are both in high school, I am in middle school, and I have a little sister who is currently a 5th grader. I really enjoy going skiing and I love flowers! I love musicals and plays and the music that comes with it. I enjoy and am decently good at almost every sport and I love visiting Lake Powell and Oregon. I don't have a favorite color and my favorite book is Graceling. I am so grateful for the friends and family that I have in my life and to earn my own money, I have a paper route and I babysit! Someday, I hope to attend BYU and go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My future career options are still open but I love cooking and I really like the idea of being a lawyer. Thanks for getting to know me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born into a very firmly rooted LDS family. But, as I have grown older, I have been able to obtain my own testimony in the truthfulness of the Gospel and I testify that it is in fact true. I live the Gospel because of the happiness that it brings me. Since I was baptized, I was blessed to posses the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Throughout my life, it has given me guidance and comfort in all aspect of my life. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and Jesus Christ is the true son of God that came to this earth to Atone for my sins so that I can repent and be cleansed of all that I do wrong. I love this Gospel and I know that it is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by beginning every morning by praying to my Father in Heaven and I end everyday in that same way. I read the Book of Mormon daily and every Sunday, I attend my three hour church meeting. On wednesdays I attend youth activities which are always fun! Because I am fourteen, I am part of the young women's 14-16 year old group called Miamaids. In that group there is a presidency and I and the first counselor in that presidency. Almost every week, I consistently play hymns on the piano for some of our meetings. Twice a year, I gather around my TV to watch the leaders and president of our church give us meaningful messages on how we should live our lives righteously in General Conference. I work to live my faith consistently and in the best and most exemplary way I possibly can. I dress modestly, I do not drink alcohol, coffee, or tea, and I work very hard to keep my language clean.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Becca Walton
Most people think that Mormons can't partake of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, or illegal. In truth, we don't partake of those substances. We personally choose what are limits are and how we want to live our life but it has been suggested by our church leaders that we should not but that it our personally choice. If we choose not too, it is because we believe that our bodies are "temples" given to us by our Heavenly Father. We want to take care of it as much as possible so we do not partake of harmful substances, we excercise, and try to stay as healthy as possible. Show more Show less
