Hi I'm Sarah Tubongbanua

I'm from the Philippines. A Latter Day Saint and I love it.

About Me

HI there! I am Sarah Olalo Tubongbanua. 19 years old, A a simple girl who loves music. It has been part of my everyday life. Listening to good and wholesome music is my way of enjoying the moment. I also love EFY songs, they uplift my inner soul. I play piano and I love playing church hymns.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of the few who are lucky enough to be born in the covenant, meaning I grew up in the Church. My parents taught me about the gospel ever since. I also have questions in the Church before but with the help of reading the scriptures, praying, attending seminary and institute, going to church every Sunday I gained my testimony that the church is indeed true. I know that to have a testimony about the church, the gospel and the Book of Mormon, one must have a particle of faith and nurture it by making some effort. The testimony I have now didn't come to me in a glimpse of an eye but it came to my little by little. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed as what Moroni said in Moroni 10:3-5. I just felt by the power of the Holy Ghost that what I am reading is true. I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the only true church today. I know that by living the gospel and keeping the Lord's commandment, we feel the everlasting joy God has promised us. I know that God loves each and every one of us and through his Great Plan of Salvation we can someday live with him for eternity with our family

How I live my faith

I am a primary teacher in our ward. I teach the children how is it important to live the gospel and be with our Father someday. I also love working with the missionaries and sharing my testimony to our brothers and sisters especially to the investigators. I am also a member of a Latter-day Saints Students Association (LDSSA) in our campus. We hold events and activities that will spiritually uplift us and be in the world and not of the world amidst the adversaries around. I regularly attend Institute and Sunday Church Service.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Sarah Tubongbanua
Heavenly Father knew beforehand that we will be subject to commit mistakes and because of his great love for us, He sent his Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins. Through Christ's Atonement we can be forgiven for our sins through the process of repentance. When we repent, we confess our sin to God and to the one we have sinned. "In cases of serious sin, confession needs to be made to the proper priesthood authority." Then we ask forgiveness from those we have sinned. If possible, we repair the damage we have done. Next is we stop doing that sin and continually do things that are according to the commandments of the Lord. If we repent, the Lord will remember no more our sins and we will be forgiven.
