Hi I'm Christy Seader

I grew up in Washington. I love music and exercising. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! Growing up in Washington has been a blast. I have enjoyed spending time with my family and friends, hiking, biking, running half-marathons, playing classical music on the piano, teaching piano, and working hard in school. If I have any free time, I'll exercise, shop, bake, eat good food, or write in my journal. I love music and am furthering my study of piano performance at Brigham Young University Idaho. For the moment I have put all of that on hold and am currently serving as a missionary in the New York Utica Mission. The experiences I'm having are priceless and I love it! I have found that there truly is joy that comes from living the Gospel and sharing it with others.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple and beautiful. It brings me happiness, peace, and comfort to know that Christ lived on this earth, giving us the perfect example to follow. He sacrificed his life and lives again- all for us! He lifts us up and through Him we can be healed. I have felt His mercy, love, and forgiveness in my life as I have repented. I know that as long as we are doing our best, He will make up for the rest. Christ will give us the strength we need to endure the trials we face in this life. I know that through His Atonement we can make it back to live in our Heavenly Father's presence. I know we are God's sons and daughters. We are loved. We have potential to become like our Him and enjoy every blessing He has in store for us. He knows us perfectly, knows what is best for us, and as we trust in Him enough to follow His commandments, we will feel peace in this life and the life to come! I know the Book of Mormon is God's word. There is a power that has come into my life as I've developed a habit of reading it. Being a member of Christ's church has blessed my life in so many ways and I know it can be the same way for everyone.

How I live my faith

To be completely honest, I love studying the scriptures! As I ponder their words, I learn more about who we are, God’s plan for us, Christ's role in our lives, and more. The more I learn about the Gospel, the more I want to live it. I strive to emulate our Savior's example of obedience, love, humility, and faith. I also have found there is power in uplifting music. From singing hymns in church to playing them on the piano, I love the spirit music brings. Music helps me to center my thoughts on our Savior and Redeemer. As a full-time missionary in the New York Utica mission, I love helping others come closer to Christ! If there is one thing I've learned, it's that everyone is so different and yet the Gospel helps each one of them in their own ways. As they change to become like Christ, they are happier! It's wonderful to see people light up as they have their own spiritual experiences. Spreading the light of Christ's love with others is just one way that I can help Heavenly Father in His work to help souls return to Him.
