Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Sister missionary. I love art, dogs, and the medical field. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm always laughing and having a good time, and I love life! Not because it's easy --it's far from that!-- but because of how I live it. I am currently a Sister Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was a college student, and I'm going into anesthesia, so I have plenty more years of school to go. I love learning new things, especially human biology and science. I love my family; I'm the oldest of three kids, and I have great parents. I have two cats and a Pug dog (named Buddy), and three rabbits. I am a big animal lover; especially dogs! Like any other girl, one of my top favorite movies is the Notebook! I love listening to music and spending time with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have been a member my whole life, I have gone through many experiences throughout the years that have shaped my testimony and life to where it is now. Many of those experiences were extremely difficult, and continue to be! Everyone goes through trials, and times where it's hard to keep going. Times when you feel alone, or when you just feel like you're not good enough, or when you think the hard times just wont ever stop. During these times, hope is hard to come by. But I testify that there is always hope. I have found that hope and peace through this gospel; I know that I am never alone, and that God loves me. And I know that He loves you, too! He has such a perfect plan for each of us; and as we turn to Him in prayer and scripture study, He will give us guidance. He wants each of us to be happy and to return to Him someday. I testify that Christ lives! This is a church of improvement and change; and the Atonement is the greatest gift as we repent and come closer to Christ. God wants us to be happy, and He has a plan for each and every one of us. God loves us so much; and I am so blessed! Because I have been given much, I too must give!

How I live my faith

I've been blessed by being raised in the gospel, and I've had many callings (assignments) which I have loved. One of my favorites was teaching the children of my ward! I love serving in any way I can; whither it be through singing at a nursing home with people from my ward or going to the temple as often as I can. I love sharing my testimony with others, and living the gospel in all I do. I believe that the best way you can make your day better is to help someone make theirs better first. Service is the answer to nearly everything!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is what you know is true, through the Spirit's (Holy Ghost) witness! It comes as you experience things in your life that bring you closer to God, and as you live the gospel. If you know that there is a God, that's a testimony! Or if you believe in the Bible, you have a testimony of it's teachings. You don't get your testimony all at once; and it's something you have to work at your whole life. My testimony isn't perfect, I strive to strengthen mine every day. But my testimony is what I treasure most, and it is something no one could ever take from me. A foundation of a Mormon's testimony include; Faith in God and Jesus Christ; Gods love for us; that Jesus Christ carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a prophet and he restored this church; and that we are led by a living prophet today (President Thomas S. Monson). Show more Show less
