Hi I'm Brooke Whittaker

I grew up in a small town in Southern Utah. I am married to my best friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend/man of my dreams. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world due to the fact I married this man and more importantly that I am a member of the LDS faith. I am going to school at Utah Valley University, following in my parents footsteps. I have the opportunity to play golf for this D1 school and get paid to do it. I have always grown up playing some sort of sport and intend to pass that on to my children. I absolutely love spending time with my family and being active outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because I was raised in this faith by my parents, but have had my own conversion through my life experiences. Every day I can recall when the Lord's hand was present and how I am constantly being watched over. It has been confirmed over and over again to me as answers to prayers have been answered in more than one way that God is there, He loves us and wants us to return to Him again. In the world we live in today it is so easy to get caught up in the small things, but with the Gospel in my life I have been reminded what's important and what I need to constantly strive to achieve day to day. This Gospel is not easy, but so worth it. This is shown time and time again when tender mercies in my life appear and I can feel His love. I can look back on my life and know that He has a plan for me and I need to continue to study, search and pray so I can follow that plan and return to live with my Heavenly Father once again, and I know it is possible.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is mostly by being an example to those around me. Being on a team I am one of three LDS members on our team of seven, and I love being asked questions about the LDS church by my teammates. This keeps me doing the small things that keep me on track, such as studying my scriptures daily, attending church, reaching out to those in need. These things build my testimony and those around me can see what I represent. I try to exemplify all that we are taught in my everyday living, and to me that is the best way I can live my faith.

What is being a Mormon like?

Brooke Whittaker
Being a Mormon makes all the choices you will face in life a lot easier, and you will be more prepared for what is to come in the future. If you are diligent in your studies and attend church meetings you won't be blindsided by too many events in your near and distant future. Being a Mormon keeps you on track when things around you are falling apart and going astray. Being a Mormon is like have a study guide to life and the answers are personalized to you in your situation and experiences. Being a Mormon makes life not only something to endure but to ENJOY. Life is the time to prepare to meet God, and it is only a short amount of time we have to prepare, so we need to start NOW. Show more Show less
