Hi I'm Jacob Koochin

I am born and raised Canadian. I come from a family of six. I love having a good time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

You can describe a guy like me in three ways: 1. I have more energy than you can imagine. 2. I love having deep and light conversations with people. 3. I adore little kids and am very very excited to have a family of my own. I am in Grade 12 at school, and am planning on serving my mission when I turn 18. I have friends in and out of the church. My friends out of the church are still great examples to me, and I look up to the good things they do for me and for others. Recently I have grown particularly close with the youth in the church. We have many get togethers and parties where we all seem to bond even deeper. I have a family consisting of a Mother and Father, two older brothers, a younger sister, and a dog. I am the second youngest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becuase I want to reach the full potential Heavenly Father has for me, Eternal Life, where I can live with Him again. I go to church, read my scriptures, pray, and other alike things regularly because it blesses me, helps me, and makes me happier. It hasn't all happened at once, but with the help of those around me, my own self motivation, and my Heavenly Father, I am developing into the person that I want to be and who my Father in Heaven wants me to be. Every time you see the light through a time of darkness, you come to know how real and true the gospel really is and by applying the things learned, you become a better person. My testimony and belief of the gospel is still growing and will be growing and strengthening for as long as I stay faithful and do the things I have been blessed and privileged to do. To describe the way I feel, from the cumulative spiritual experiences that have been apart of my life, big or small, could only be described with (what I imagine to be) a Heavenly Dictionary, which has definitions of the feelings housed in the heart. Those feelings so pure, cannot truly be expressed with any tongue on earth. Those feelings and the resulted blessings from acting upon those feelings are what keep me doing the things Mormons do each day.

How I live my faith

I am at this time an assistant to our ward leader in assisting the youth to draw closer to Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and each other. I love it. I puts more responsibility in my life and helps me really think and care for others better. I go to a few assigned members' homes with my dad each month to teach them about the gospel and grow our relationship each month. I also attend an early morning scripture study class everyday during the school week with other youth from our church from local areas.
