Hi I'm Abbie Black

I am a happy, twenty-one years old, college student, who loves life but knows what a bad day can feel like. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am twenty-one years old and going to college. I am the middle child of 7 kids. I am studying Business administration.I don't know what to do for a career but for now am just enjoying having fun, learning and being me. I am single but my main goal is to have an eternal family and I am preparing myself now, the best that I can right now, so that one day i will be ready for that time in my life. I have worries and fears but choose not to live my fears and to avoid life because I'm scared but to embrace life and have a little faith. Not everyday is perfect, some days can actually be really hard and lonely, but I just focus on today and enjoy the part of life I'm in. I work as a checker at a local grocery store and love it. With going to school, working and trying to have a little bit of a social life it is hard for me to find time to do all the things I want and need to do. Things like scripture study, read general conference talks, serve, family, friends, dating, relaxing, and all the many other things i want to do, but all Heavenly Father expects of me is my best and that's what I'm doing. Life isn't always easy but I can always look forward to a wonderful tomorrow, with new chances, new experiences, new laughs, new cries and many wonderful things that make tomorrows and todays great.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon. Why am I Mormon? Because I can't imagine my life without this gospel. Who is the person I go to when I am having a bad day? Who is the first person I want to thank when something great happens? Who do I count on for everything? My Heavenly Father and Brother and Savior Jesus Christ. I see the hand of god in everything I do, everyday and it makes my days so much better. I am a mormon because I want my family to be forever. I want to be with my immediate family eternity and my future family someday too. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it to be true. I know that we having a living prophet that receives guidance for us in these latter days. I know I can receive personal revelation for things in my life. I know that i receive peace, joy, understanding and love everyday from the knowledge and understanding that comes with the gospel. I am a Mormon because I feel safe with it always by me. I know answers to life's questions and feel protect from any harm. The gospel gives me strength and courage to fight life's battles and to be the kind of person I want to be. I am mormon because I know what it means and know that it is the way to eternal happiness and joy through our saviors atonement. I am mormon because it reminds me i am a daughter of Heavenly Father who loves me and I love him. I am always filled with his love and can feel him guiding me and my life along his plan for me. I know this gospel is true and I see it everyday, that's why I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend to everyone. I see others as brothers and sisters and want to be a friend to them. I live by a saying I made up " I want to change the world, even if it is only one persons world" and I seek to do this everyday. Even the people that I help out at the grocery store I work at, I try to make their day just a little bit better. I do this because I want others to feel their Saviors love through me and I want others to want to get to know him because they know me. I try to listen and feel what others needs are and help them where I can. In the Ward I live in I participate in the Linger Longer activities. These are activities after church meetings for single wards. They help the ward members to get to know one another and to create friendships. I enjoy bringing people together to create a safe, good environment where we can be friends. I have also taught the young kids of the church in primary for a few months which was so neat. It was fun to see how much these kids knew and the kind of light they have with them. I Love serving others and try to do this every day in the things i do.
