Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Utah. I am a mother of 2 children. I love spending time outdoors and traveling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 2 beautiful and active children. My little boy is 4 and my daughter is 18 months. They are a full time job! I love being stay at home mom even though it can be challenging and totally exhausting at times. It's the biggest blessing and reward in my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything! In my spare time.....if I can find any.... I enjoy working in my garden, scarpbooking , crafting with my mom and traveling. My husband and I also love working on projects around our house. I graduated with my bachelors in human development and family studies. My husband and I met in high school and have been best friends every since.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have felt in my heart many times in my life that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. The feeling of the Holy Ghost testify to me of the truthfulness is something that I can not deny. I have had many moments in my life where the gospel has pulled me through and lifted me up. Being a member of the church has shown me who I am. A daughter of god. The blessings I receive by living the gospel continue to testify to me of the truthfulness. When I listen to the prophet and read the scriptures I can feel The Lord telling me it's true. The gospel has given me self identify. I know who I am, and what I can become. The gospel gives me the knowledge I need to endure this life with the assurance that I can return home to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

My husband and I made it a goal to always take our children to church every Sunday. It is now a habit to wake up every Sunday and get ready to worship. Sometimes it's discouraging when we are outside in the hall with out little ones thinking why did we come but I know it is important. We are showing our commitment to The Lord. It is always rewarding to see our children show us or teach us what they are learning in their classes. I know by attending out church meetings we grow closer to The Lord and our family becomes a stronger unit. As a family we have been trying to read the scriptures together. Our son gets very upset if we forget and is quick to remind us we ' haven't read scriptures tonight' reading the scriptures has brought the spirit of The Lord into our home. It helps our children know who they are and why they are here in earth. Prayer is another blessing in my life that we all can enjoy. Praying to my Heavenly Father daily gives me the comfort and guidance I need to go about my day. As a mother I am always very anxious and concerned for my children for their safely and for their health. Praying to my Heavenly Father gives me the comfort and the reassurance I need to raise my children righteously. I know that The Lord hears my prayers and blesses my family according to his will.
