Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a father of six a baseball coach, microbiologist, program manager and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I love to coach my kids in baseball and softball. My best friend is my wife. My dream vehicle is a 1971 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. I actually have the truck, but ya...it's a project. I'm in the final stages of a PhD in program management. I have six children, so my biggest 'current' hobby is all of my kids' activities. I enjoy involvement with local politics and I served seven years on the School Board.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe God speaks to us, his children, today. I believe God utilizes modern day Prophets to inform and guide us through this complicated world. I believe the power and authority of God, known as the Priesthood, is upon the Earth that allows ordinances like baptism to performed in the same manner as in Christ's time. I believe families can be sealed with the power of the Priesthood to allow them to be together forever. All of these beliefs are found in the Mormon church and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite quotes is from a former Prophet of the Mormon church named Howard W. Hunter who said "one of the greatest things a father can do for his children is to love their mother" (https://www.lds.org/general-conference/print/1994/10/being-a-righteous-husband-and-father?lang=eng). My commitment to my wife is second only to my commitment to Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I love teaching young people about the gospel of Jesus Christ both formally in a 'Sunday School' setting and informally through everyday activities. I find the best way to instruct my children is through being an active participant in their lives.
