Hi I'm Sue Olson

"I am a mom and energetic grandmother of 16 who loves reading, cooking and hanging out with family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Susan Olson. I am the mother of five beautiful children and a grandmother of 16. Utah has been my home for most of my life. It is beautiful, peaceful state and a great place to raise a family. I attended Utah schools and graduated from Brigham YoungUniversity in English and then taught school until our first baby was born. I owned a window coverings business for 15 years and have dabbled in several other small home businesses. Motherhood has been my most important profession, and I love anything connected to "hearth and home"--cooking, sewing, music, gardening, canning, home decorating, scrapbooking, reading, attending special family events, playing board games, familly vacations and late night chats...and of course, anything chocolate! I love spending time with my precious grandchildren and am enjoying retirement with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the doctrine found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints answers the questions that bring peace and happiness into my life. I know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going after I die. I know that God is our Father and we are His children and that we lived with Him becore we came to earth. I know that He loves us and has prepared a plan that helps us be happy and return to live in His presence eternally. His Son, Jesus Christ, is central to that plan and through His atoning sacrifice made it possible for us to overcome our sins and weaknesses and change to become more like Him. It brings me comfort to know that our Father ihn Heaven knows us, loves us, fortives us, and helps us through the sorrow and challenges of life. This knowledge gives direction and meaning to my life and helps me learn the path that leads to the greatest happiness and joy. I love the feeling of unity in our church and that members strive to be Christlike in serving and caring for one another.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly and love to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love studying and pondering the scriptures and pray to my Father in Heaven to develop a closer relationship with Him. I enjoy serving in various church callings and participating in service projects and activities. My husband and I are preparing to serve a mission for our church. We are looking forward to sharing precious truths and teachings that will help people live happier, more fulfilling lives.
