Hi I'm Danielle

I grew up in Washington, received my BA in Child Development, I am married and have two boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've played the piano for over 20 years and love to learn inspirational songs. I love home décor, to decorate my home and to organize. I love to exercise and stay physically active. I am a Mom to two boys, 5 and 2 years old and I stay home to raise them. It is the best thing and hardest thing I've ever done.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because Heavenly Father has made manifest to me through the Holy Ghost that what I am doing is right. I feel peace when I participate in the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that I am following the plan Heavenly Father has for me. When I was 16 months old my biological father passed away from cancer, leaving my young mother, my 3-year old brother, and me. Growing up my mom clearly taught me about the plan of salvation -- that my dad was in heaven, he was watching over me and helping me, and that I would see him again. My mother remarried when I was 2-years old and as hard as a blended family was, it was a new normal for our family. When I was 22-years old, my step-father, whom I had come to love dearly; the father that raised me -- developed cancer and died 3 months after being diagnosed. I relived losing a father again, but as difficult a trail this was for me, it strengthened my testimony of the plan of salvation. I knew where my fathers were and I knew that they were watching over me, guiding me through our Father in Heaven. I know that I will see them again and we will live together forever as a family. This is made possible through The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

To serve in church, I spend my time with the children ages 18 months-12 years. There is a lot of responsibility presiding over the teachers, keeping callings filled, helping with the children's needs during our meetings, teaching the children about Jesus Christ, and keeping everything organized and run smoothly so that our children can feel the Spirit.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Danielle
Families can be together forever, even after death. This is made possible through the sealing ordinance performed in our sacred Temples. Jesus Christ gave his disciples this priesthood authority when He said, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 16:19). By being worthy of our Father in Heaven, we can return to live with our loved ones forever. God wants us to succeed; to be our best. Jesus Christ has made this possible through His Atonement.
