Hi I'm Chad

I grew up in Utah. I have a beautiful wife named Sara with a new son on the way. I'm studying to be an engineer and

About Me

I am a husband and father for my wonderful wife and two handsome boys. Currently I am working as a graduate research student for the University where I hope to obtain my masters degree in mechanical engineering by the end of 2016. I love playing sports and working with my hands. My wife Sara and I occupy most of our time raising our two boys, a two year old and a three month old. We love being outdoors with the kids whenever we get the chance. But once the boys are to sleep we spend time together either playing games or watching some netflix. Before marriage I spent two years in Salta Argentina where I was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While there I learned how to speak spanish and, more importantly, how to care more about others than for myself. I am the penultimate, and only son, of five children. My parents made great efforts to teach us the value of hard work.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents came from very different backgrounds. My grandparents on my dad's side were avid alcohol drinkers and smokers. They transferred these traits to most of their kids. Alcoholism has nearly claimed the life of many of my aunts and uncles. My grandpa died of lung cancer. I have an uncle who has gone to prison three times. My dad would have been destined for the same fate had God not rescued him. My mother one the other hand, was raised in a christian home where Christ-like love was a mainstay. As a boy I grew up seeing the stark contrast displayed by my family on both sides. Even as a boy it was obvious which things I knew would bring me lasting happiness. The scriptures work in the very same way. The people in the bible stories are given advice as to what they need to do. The people are left to make their choice and the consequences of their choice are clearly demonstrated. In like manor, I've chosen to follow the Savior because I am a witness that only by doing so can we be truly happy.

How I live my faith

I help in my church by teaching lessons on various gospel topics, such as, loving others, forgiveness, and prayer. All the lessons are focused on the example set by Jesus Christ. I also help schedule the times and topics of other gospel teachers. I am also to see to the needs of two families within our congregation. Just the other day I was able to help one family fix a clogged sink. It was a small service but its the small things we do that can often make the biggest difference.
