Hi I'm Kelsey

I grew up in Georgia. I'm a master's student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I am getting my Master's in social work and as cliche as it sounds, I really want to save the world. I love the profession I am headed into and cannot wait to be in the field. Beyond working and school, I love visiting new places and experiencing new cultures. I have a goal to visit 30 countries before I turn 30. I better get started if I want to make it! But my dream is to travel the world doing what I love. Hans Christian Anderson said, "To travel is to live." I believe this. My family and friends are the most important parts of my life. I love spending time with them doing whatever! My favorite thing in the world to do is laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

Although raised in an LDS family, I knew I had to gain my own testimony. This testimony is still growing but I do know that this Church has the true and everlasting gospel. Throughout recent years, I have developed a deep and very personal relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. It is because of Him and his sacrifice for me that I choose to be a member of this church. Not only are my sins forever forgiven as I repent but the atonement of Jesus Christ also enables me to face the challenges and trials of this life. With Christ by my side, I can be and do anything. I know that although Christ leads this church, He has called apostles and prophets to be His mouthpieces on this earth. These men are called of God and receive revelation for our church. I know that by following them and their counsel, my life will be blessed. I choose to be LDS because I have prayed to know that these things are true!

How I live my faith

Like many others, I live my faith through my everyday actions. I try to do the best that I can and try to be a little better each day. Prayer has become a anchor in my life as I kneel with my Heavenly Father daily. It it through prayer that I grow closer to my Heavenly Father. I also love service. I love that children of God serve children of God. I love being a disciple of Christ through serving and uplifting those around me!
