Hi I'm Marina

I am a daughter of God. I am a wife, mom, sister, cousin, friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever met a girl who laughed quietly to herself for no apparent reason? That's me. I like to see the good in the bad situations. I usually keep a positive outlook on life because that makes me more grateful for what I have around me. I married my high school sweetheart and we have a beautiful baby girl. My husband and I are still in school - I hope to one day be a teacher for those with Special Needs. I've always understood that I may not be able to change the world in one day but that doesn't stop me from hoping to change another person's world in one day.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I used to pray that we wouldn't go to church. Yes, I do understand that admitting this might be embarrassing and that it's an oxymoron. We moved right after I was baptized and I was afraid of this new building I had to go to with new faces. It wasn't until I was in my late teens that I realized how important it was for me to have some consistency in my life and that's what the gospel of Jesus Christ was for me. It was the same no matter which part of the country I was. The gospel and its teachings has brought me so much joy and with this joy, it also brought on heartbreaks - my parents never saw me get married, I've watched loved ones suffer from the death of a close relative or friend and I saw many people stray away. The gospel is what brings me comfort during difficult times and hardships. I know Heavenly Father loves all of us, I understand that each of us were born under different circumstances and some might be better off than others but we are still all sons and daughters of God. He sent His Son to die for US. I hope to live my life in a way that honors Him. With all the happiness and joy I get to experience, why wouldn't I want to share it with others?

How I live my faith

I try to live every day as a new blessing because it is. I do my best to love others and be an example to them and follow my role models as well. I am not perfect which is why I'm here but I'm learning something new every day. I recognize my Heavenly Father's love for me which makes me grateful for both the good and the bad that surrounds me and I'm a much more happier person because of this knowledge.
