Hi I'm Kaitlin
I love singing and playing the piano. I am serving as a missionary in California. I am a Mormon.
I grew up in a small farming community and love nature and the outdoors. I come from a big family and many of my favorite memories include camping with my family. I spent my high school years singing in various choirs, serving on the National Honor Society, playing the piano, discovering my talent of photography, and continuing to improve on my talent of drawing. I still continue to enjoy these things and support my family and friends in pursuing their talents. I am striving for a degree in Elementary Education. I am now preparing to serve a mission because I know of the love that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has for His children, and I want to share His message with others, so they can obtain that same joy! I will be serving in the California Arcadia mission, Spanish speaking.
I am a Mormon because the Gospel brings joy to my life, each and every day. Each of us goes through struggles and trials throughout our lives. The Gospel has helped me to realize the love that God has for each of us. I am a Mormon because the Gospel helps me to grow and become a better person. I am a Mormon because, through the scriptures and prayer, I am able to find the guidance I need in my life. I was raised in the church, but had to find out for myself if the things my parents had taught me were true. I relied on prayer and studying the Book of Mormon to receive an answer. As I read the Book of Mormon and prayed for God to give me a witness if the Book of Mormon and the church were true, a calming peace and feeling of love came over me. I knew it was God answering my prayer. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of the God and that Jesus Christ is at the head of this church, guiding and directing it through a modern, living prophet.
I live my faith by doing the small and simple things we are asked to do as members of the church: praying daily, studying the scriptures, and serving others. I also attend my church meetings every Sunday. I am able to feel the Spirit and be reminded of the promises I've made with my Heavenly Father when I do attend church. I served as the pianist in the Primary and really enjoy the great spirit that Primary songs bring. I try to live my faith by being optimistic each day. Even though I go through trials and struggles, when I look for the good and have gratitude for what I do have, I'm happier. I live my faith by showing my love to the Savior through my service to others. I enjoy serving in my community and church in various ways.
