Hi I'm RaNae Taylor

I'm the happy Mom of six grown children and seventeen grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being a wife, homemaker, mom, and grandma. Just a few years ago, I taught myself piano, a lifelong dream. My main goal was to learn the Church hymns. I'm doing it now, after much trial and error. The music of the hymns brings me incredible peace and has helped me through challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a loving home but very little religion was taught. After being baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at age eight, I often went to Church meetings alone. The lessons I heard spoke truth to my heart and I knew there must be more to life than I was experiencing spiritually. I gained a testimony of Jesus Christ, past and living prophets, and that there was a plan for my life beginning before I was born. I learned the purpose for trials, that we came to earth to be tested and proven to see if we would be faithful. I wanted the Gospel to always be a part of my life and it is.

How I live my faith

Visiting teaching is important to me as I get outside of myself and learn of my friend's concerns. I also enjoy the ladies who come faithfully to visit me each month. I feel of their genuine love and they always share a spiritual, uplifting message. My husband and I get to serve together, teaching life skills to 9 year old cub scout boys. We love their youthful energy and having them in our home weekly. I've recently been called to serve in the Uganda Kampala Mission with my husband. I'm anxious to share my testimony of the Savior with the people in Africa.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

The Church leadership loves everyone. It is not a museum of saints, but rather a workshop for sinners. We recognize good in all people. With Christ at the Head of the Church, we try to follow His example. As disasters and other needs appear around the world, our organization is anxious and ready to help, regardless of religious beliefs. Show more Show less
