Hi I'm Meg

I'm from Orem, Utah, I attend Brigham Young University, majoring in Public Relations.

About Me

I am passionate about life! In my opinion, there is not a minute to waste. Every day I try to do as much learning, readying, and serving as I can. I graduated from high school last year with my Associate’s Degree and have spent the last year studying at Brigham Young University, where I plan to major in public relations. I want to work with service organizations that help people around the world gain education and better their lives. I am currently serving as a missionary for the LDS church in Budapest, Hungary. I love sharing the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others! I enjoy playing soccer, being outdoors, and traveling, especially on family vacations to the lake and ski resort. My family is the center of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Most people would think I'm a Mormon because I was raised a Mormon. It started that way. But, as we grow, every person comes to a point where they must decide for themselves what is right and how they are going to live their own life. I grew up in a home full of love, with faithful, strong parents who loved the Lord. When I was young it was very easy to rely on their testimonies and not think much about my own. As I began my last year of high school, that all began to change. I faced people, circumstances, and questions in my own heart that forced me to finally ask myself if all I had been taught as a child was true. I had to find my own faith and truly rely on Christ to see me through. I have witnessed miracles in my life that undeniably have come from God. Because of the teachings of the Church, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have avoided many dangerous mistakes that would have brought me nothing but heartache and misery. Instead, as I’ve based my life on the teachings of Jesus Christ, I have been blessed with peace and joy. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true, restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father loves me, and He loves you, too. There is nothing He wants more then to give you eternal joy. I have received glimpses of this kind of joy, and it is more beautiful than any earthly feeling or experience. I want to feel it always. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My faith is not just a part of me, it is who I am. Every decision I make is rooted in my belief in Jesus Christ. I serve because of Him, I learn because of Him, and I try every day to be like Him. Most recently I have served as a leader to the women in my ward, planning weekly gospel instruction and events. Doing so has deepened my understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ and given me strength through the bonds of sisterhood. Now, I am dedicating the next eighteen months of my life to serve as a full- time missionary. I can think of no better way to live my faith than to willingly act as the Lord’s hand in bringing people to a knowledge of Christ. I attend church every week and start every day with scripture study. I believe that my time on this earth is vitally important to my eternal salvation, so I try every day to seek God’s will for me and be the servant He wants me to be.
