Hi I'm Katelyn Woolley

I'm a student. I'm a singer. I'm a missionary in Córdoba Argentina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 3rd of 4 children of two loving parents who spoil me with hugs, meals, and a place to live as I attend school. I was attending BYU, but now I am a missionar!. I plan to study Elementary Education after serving an 18 month LDS mission in Argentina. Little children are just too cute and they always bring a smile to my face. I love music and it is a huge part of my life. I love to sing. I was heavily involved in high school choir, and have even been part of a choir in my college studies as well. I also play the piano and learned as a young child. Though I enjoy pounding piano keys, my absolute favorite hobby is to play and jam with my ukulele. I taught myself how to play this instrument and it is the best when I can sing along with my sister. I am a certified scuba diver, and I love to swim and everything to do with water! My favorite summer activity is spending a week at Lake Powell to wakeboard, ski, and just have fun in the water with my family and friends. Also, I would love to travel the world. I find the globe so fascinating. The world is full of so much beauty and I just want to see it ALL! We truly are so blessed to be here on this earth and to experience life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the hope, love, and happiness that this gospel brings into my life. It allows me to learn and expand my knowledge. I am able to interact with those that are living just like me with the same morals, and to always be reminded that I am not alone. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father love me with the greatest encouragement. They live. Christ has felt every single one of my pains, sorrows, guilts, and worries- and so much more, just because of his love and faith in me even though my agency did not guarantee acceptance of this gift. He did it just for you as well. His willingness and faith adds to my testimony that one day, I can return to be in his presence and embrace him with love and gratitude for his willing, love filled, infinite sacrifice. Every life can be filled with light and joy in this message, no matter the feelings of deep despair. He loves all. I also know that the Book of Mormon is true because my life is flooded with the spirit and happiness as I read and follow its teachings. This gospel just makes sense and is capable of truly changing lives. This gospel is dear to my heart and I want others to have the opportunity to have this happiness I have found as well. That is why I have decided to serve and spread the glad message with those I come in contact with through my example. Christ is real and his plan is perfect. I love him and I have a natural desire to want to share His love with others.

How I live my faith

Each day, I try my hardest to be in accordance with the will of our Father in Heaven, yet, I still make mistakes. I am not perfect. The beauty of this gospel is that each day we can start clean. The overwhelming love of Jesus Christ is real and his Atonement is infinite. Repentance through desire and prayer is possible and rewarding because it works! I live my faith by reading from my treasured scriptures and studying questions to receive personal answers. I also live by faith by preparing for my accepted call to serve as a full time missionary to the Argentina Córdoba Mission. I am so excited to teach and share of the happiness this gospel brings. Before my mission, I attended my church meetings with a congregation of young adults (ages 18-31) in my area. As part of my calling in this ward, I helped to plan and organize events and parties for the young adults to socialize and have fun, while coming unto Christ. It is such an awesome environment to learn of the gospel with your closest friends and to be surrounded by many others who are in this crucial stage of life full of decisions and opportunities too. Life is good.
