Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Southern California. I supported my mother as she battled cancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending Brigham Young University, and studying Dietetics. I am an only child, and come from a family with two loving parents. I have a puppy back home named Ginger. I love learning, and seeing new places. I am minoring in Spanish, and have been to Spain. I am interested in fitness and health, and I love the outdoors. I hope to brighten other peoples' lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, however, it has always been my choice to live and believe in its values. My father is less active, and I have seen the difference of happiness in his life and mine due to the choices he has made. He is a wonderful father, and I know he wants the best for me and that he loves me very much, but I would not make some of the decisions he has made. My mother is active in the church, and always has been. She was my example growing up as she quietly lived the standards that Christ would have her live. When I was about 12 I truly decided to investigate what I had been taught as I was growing up. I studied the scriptures and prayed for answers and confirmations of the truth. I waited and continued with this process until I knew with a surety of its truth. Today, I still look for answers, and wait for the Holy Ghost's response. I know that I will probably always be searching for answers, but I am okay with that. I know that everything will be revealed in His time. I know my Savior lives and loves us. I know that Heavenly Father's plan was for Him to come here and sacrifice himself for us. I know that through the atonement we may return to live with our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that we have the agency to choose wrong or right, and if we choose to sin, we can repent and return to Him again. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have received as I studied, searched, and prayed. I cannot wait to spend my life progressing, and moving forward. I love this Church, and I love Jesus Christ's Gospel. I love our emphasis on the family unit, and I cannot wait to have a family of my own someday after I am sealed to my husband for all eternity in the temple. I love the friendships I have found through this church and how I can rely on the Gospel being the same wherever I go. I hope that through this page I can bring others to Jesus Christ and help them develop a personal relationship with their Savior. You are loved.

How I live my faith

I am currently a member of my ward's "Friendship Committee". My calling involves reaching out to new members of the ward, and making them feel welcome. We also make sure that everyone has a friend, is cared for, and receives a card and treat on their birthday. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome and loved. I love my calling because I am not a very social person on my own, so it is nice to have this way to interact and serve others. I know that although this committee seems like it may not do very much, it would mean a lot to me to have people do the same for me. I love that I am able to foster unity and friendship in my ward.
