Hi I'm Marni

I love to Scuba Dive and there is no place I feel closer to to my Heavenly Father than underwater and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born into a great family who I love very much and lived on a amazing Ranch riding horses and swimming in the river. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I always had a strong faith in where I came from, and wanted to do good things. I married a great guy who has an adventuresome spirit and wanted me to be his best friend, I can't believe some of the things I have done....He signed me up for Scuba Lessons when I had never even had a swimming lesson and didn't know how to put my head in the water without plugging my nose. Needless to say I was afraid... he patiently helped me learn and I soon fell in love with the freedom of floating underwater. I now have been a instructor for over 25 years and manage and run a Scuba Shop and Outdoor Store. We started out as just a scuba shop pumping tanks and soon we started teaching classes... and within a couple of years we put all of our passions under one roof selling Climbing Gear, Backpacking Gear, Comfy Clothes and Footwear and all the fun trinkets that go with it. We take groups out traveling around the world doing Scuba Diving and other fun things.... We have 4 amazing kids and they were all raised at the pool blowing bubbles..... and we all went out hiking, climbing and trails didn't exist... we would head straight for the top. We managed to get the kids and I on top of Mount Rainier, WA when they were 9,11,13,14 years old. We continue to love life together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my heart has told me that it is true... I can't deny the burning in my chest that I have had many times. I love having the Savior Jesus Christ as my friend... I close my eyes many times a day and ask for answers in all that I do.... he loves me and is there for me...this knowledge keeps me going each day. We don't have to be perfect we just need to be trying each day to do our best and the Savior makes up the rest.. that is what the atonement is for.... Prayer is our connection to him... we just need to be in tune to know when answers come...

How I live my faith

I developed a strong faith in the Mormon church at a young age. I always felt that there was a God and that I came from Heaven.... I was a stubborn kid and didn't just do things coz everyone else was doing it. I tried to not make dumb mistakes as a teenager that I would regret later. I have been willing to serve in any way that I can when I have been asked to do so and love to help others. My Dad was killed on a motorcycle when I was a young mom of 4. We were busy trying to build a house and I was suffering from being run down from having had 4 kids...I found my self falling into a depression and started asking alot of questions about things. I missed my dad as we were close.... I was angry because he was gone.... how could a loving heavenly father take my dad.... I struggled for a few years. I knew I had to do something different. I started saying my prayers again each day asking for strength to just get through the day. I didn't love to read but I started reading the scriptures each day when I remembered to do it. I read the books called "The Work and the Glory" and whenever I would start feeling sorry for my self I would just think about the people who walked all across the plains to get a fresh start in life and I would stop complaining... my life is great compared to theirs.... I try to do the best I can each day and live a good life. I love my kids and grandkids and all the great people who I work with and know... I know we were all part of that great plan in Heaven and that we all choose to come here to earth to gain a body and live a good life so we can return and live again in Heaven.. I know I will see my Dad again... I have felt his influence in my life many times. I love to go to church and feel of the spirit that is there. It recharges my batteries each week. I love the little children and their smiles. I love that I can go to a Mormon church all around he world and feel at home and find the same beliefs. That is because it is Jesus Christs Church.
