Hi I'm Marie

I am a Latter Day Saint. I love being a Mormon and what it stands for. It just makes sense to me!

About Me

I am married and have three living children and nine grandchildren. I love being a Homemaker and being a grandma. I love to sew, quilt, crochet, travel, walk and read.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is who I am. My life revolves around trying to live the Gospel and it's principles as best I can. When I fall short, I resolve to do better. My husband and I have devoted our marriage to service and teaching the gospel to our family. We are always trying to create teaching moments. We enjoy spending time with the family so we can influence them and build their testimonies. The Gospel Plan makes sense to me. It's all about being the best person I can be; honest, kind, friendly, service minded. I learned many years ago that serving others in so many ways is the key to happiness. I am most happy when I am not thinking about myself but about others. I look for opportunities of service. I love the Plan of Salvation; that family ties go beyond this life. I look forward to being with my two sons that have passed on in the next life. It makes sense. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and appreciate so much His atoning sacrifice so that I can be with my family forever. I know it's true. That's why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

When my youngest child left home I decided to get involved in community service t through raising funds to help children in need at the children's hospital in the state I live in. I spend a great deal of my time leading an organization that gives 100% earned to the hospital. I have the opportunity to teach an adult class at church that requires me to study the gospel every day. My testimony and knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has grown a lot through this opportunity/

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith is an important part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter days. We believe that he restored the Gospel back to the earth. We love him, admire him, and are grateful for all his work and sacrifice to bring the gospel back to the earth. We only worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. There is a distinct difference. What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Anyone, whether you are a member or not, can attend church. Only church members in good standing can attend the temple. What happens in the temple is not a secret, but it is sacred. We hold those things close to our heart. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is the organization within the church for all women 18 years and older. Every woman of age automatically becomes a member. It is a sisterhood we enjoy. We learn together, laugh together, cry together, and take care of one another. It we allow it to, it can be a blessing in our lives. It is a group of women I fit into and am accepted wherever I go in the world. Relief Society women are like my sisters. Show more Show less
