Hi I'm Barbara

I'm a former gymnast. I play about 20 instruments. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a former gymnast there are many times where I enjoy doing handstand competitions with friends. Along with doing these competitions I enjoy going to the movies or even just watching movies at all and just hanging out with my friends. I also LOVE music!!! I play about 20 instruments!! I do not have a favorite instrument; however, I do tend to play the piano more often than any other instrument. I was abused growing up, but that has not stopped me in my progression in life. I also served a mission for 18 months in Washington. I am now studying to be an Elementary school teacher. I love teaching and seeing children's eyes light up when they understand a new concept.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I have gone through many difficult trials in my life and without the gospel I would not be the person I am today. I grew up abused by family members. I had many chances to turn away from my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, but it was the knowledge that I knew that he loved me and that he was there for me no matter what brought me great comfort. I knew that Heavenly Father did not like the actions of my family member's; however, we have the freedom to choose for ourselves and make choices. These choices have consequences, both good and bad. I learned this when I read in the book of Luke about when Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus Christ was suffering so much that his sweat were drops of blood. Heavenly Father had to allow His son to suffer so that we can return to Him. I know that Jesus Christ knows all of the pain and suffering that I have gone through and that he is there for me no matter what. He loves me and will never leave me alone. He loves you and will never leave you alone. You can always turn to him in time of need.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in the women's class known as Relief Society. I love to teach the gospel and enjoy sharing my insight on the gospel as well as gain insight from other women in the class. I also get to know specific women in the church by visiting them. I love getting to know these women on a more personal level and this gives me a way to serve them and come to love them.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians. We are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. We believe that through his atoning sacrifice we have the opportunity to return to our Father in Heaven. Jesus Christ is the center of our faith and the head of our church. Show more Show less
