Hi I'm Yvonne

I grew up in Clovis, California. I now live in Missouri. I am a wife, a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play basketball! I graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development. I use the knowledge I gained from my schooling every day as I care for my three precious children. I am married to the most wonderful man. He is my best friend. We work as one to strengthen our growing family and provide our children with all they stand in need of. The most important thing we strive to give our children is an understanding of who they are. We strive to help them understand that they are children of a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan for them and is always ready to give them aid as they seek it; that He is just one prayer away.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is Christ's true church restored upon the earth in these Latter-days. I know with certainty, through the power of the Holy Ghost, that God the Father and His son Jesus Christ appeared to the boy Joseph Smith and commissioned him to help restore Christ's church. I know that Christ atoned for the sins of all mankind and overcame death so that we, like Him, may live again. Through or savior, Jesus Christ, we have been given every opportunity to repent and progress so that we can someday return to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father. I know that families can be together forever through the sealing power found only in the Temples of God. I'm a "Mormon" because of the peace, joy, and comfort that comes through living the gospel of Christ.

How I live my faith

My faith is in everything I do. Every decision I make is somehow tied to my beliefs. I try to be a good example and great friend to all that I come in contact with. Even if it's just flashing a smile at someone walking by. I have the wonderful privilege to work with the youth. I have been given the opportunity to teach the young woman every Sunday. I think I may learn more from them than they do from me, but I pray that each time we meet, they can feel the spirit testify to them of truth.
